I know you think all of us at SmartBeijing only patronize the smoke-filled, grimy live music dive bars and sweaty dance clubs, but we can get down with capital-C Culture every now and then too. This Saturday we might just go to UCCA to see Classical Among the Contemporary, a contemporary chamber music concert with a twist. This afternoon concert features Chinese saxophonist Hanchao Jiang, French violist and bayan accordionist Guillaume Leroy, and French pianist Marina di Giorno playing a series of duets and trios by Bach, Bartok, Piazzolla, Schumann, Debussy, and Russell Peterson. Tickets are 150rmb and can be purchased on the UCCA website.
Classy. See you there. Well, I'll probably be on some dumb July 4th shit, but I'll see you there in spirit.
